If only….
Do you ever see a film or a commercial that just strikes you somewhere deep, and you never forget it?
That’s what happened to me when I first saw “The Christmas Conspiracy” video a few years back when our friend Denice P. posted it on her Facebook wall.
If you have two-and-a-half minutes to spare, here it is:

Our family participates in Operation Christmas Child, and has in prior years gifted chickens to families around the world via Compassion International for income generation in impoverished areas. I find it enjoyable to browse Compassion’s Christmas catalogue. Though it didn’t happen this year, I have given to charities in the name of a gift recipient (in lieu of “stuff.”) Thanks for sharing the video clip.

Wishing you and your family a Christmas that is full of gifts, the kind that don’t come in wrapping paper, but that come in hugs and kisses and spontaneous dance parties and singalongs and hot cocoa sharing and…well, you get the picture!
It’s amazing how much I’m seeing this theme. The whole’Advent season” at my church was spent on this topic. I like your post and since it’s toooo late for 2012, 2013 Christmas is ‘hopefully’ going to be entirely handmade, so that I can give less but give more and give more to worth while charities.
