Moodboard Monday: It’s My Party! Well, Maybe?

Happy Monday morning!

Well folks, sorry to disappoint, but I have no moodboard prepared for today.  Why, you ask?  Well, honestly, life is hectic.  I spent the weekend deep cleaning my living room, setting up Christmas decorations, and spending quality time with my husband and children in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

That said, my time is valuable to me, and I need to choose to use it wisely and in a way that makes sense for me and my family.  This means that I do not always have the late night-time that I normally use to create my weekly moodboards.  I am taking a hiatus today to celebrate my birthday (yep, it’s today!), clean my house in preparation for my daughter’s party this weekend, make party decorations, go shopping, and also take time for myself.

In an effort to give you something to make you smile this Monday morning, here is my children’s best attempt at a happy, holiday photo with Santa:Picture_59828_taken_on_2012-12-09_135157

Bottom line, I do everything I do for my family, my children, and myself.  This blog was started to chronicle my small achievements and keep me motivated.  I really enjoy and benefit from the support of my blog friends (and family).  Sometimes I need to take a step back and remember that I blog for my family, and not that my family is for my blog. I realize now that the above photo may be a bit of irony, but hey, that’s life!

I wish everyone a happy Monday!  See you later this week!

  1. Happy Birthday! When a regular blog “series” becomes a have-to-do rather than a want-to-do, its definitely time to take a step back. As always, love the pic (can’t wait for my copy in the mail) and can’t wait to celebrate with Claire this weekend.
